📜 Origin and Founding
Our school originated as the Mazu Temple Japanese Language Training Institute. On November 26, 1899 (the 13th year before the founding of the Republic of China), it was officially approved and reorganized as Magong Public School, and formally opened on January 8, 1900.
With a history spanning more than a century, the school has undergone **two relocations**—first in **April 1900** to the area northeast of the City God Temple beside the Cheng-Chu Shrine, and again in **1933** to its present location.
👑 Status and Influence
As **the first elementary school established in Penghu County**, our school is also regarded as **the origin of all elementary schools in Magong City**.
Since the Japanese colonial period, it has directly or indirectly given rise to the following schools:
- Wude Elementary School (which later branched into Shanshui Elementary School and Shili Elementary School)
- Shiquan Elementary School (which later branched into Xingren Elementary School, Dongwei Elementary School, and Wen’ao Elementary School)
- Fenggui Elementary School
- Hujing Elementary School (which later branched into Tongpan Elementary School)
- Zhongxing Elementary School and Zhongzheng Elementary School.
