Support for children arriving from overseas

Magong Elementary is a public school and instruction is primarily in Mandarin Chinese. That said, a child arriving with little or no Mandarin is not on their own here.

  • Learning support programme with individual and small-group instruction
  • New Immigrant language classes for children of immigrant families
  • English-speaking staff in the English department and foreign teacher team
  • Counselling office support during the settling-in period
  • Buddy arrangements within the class

If English is your family's stronger language, contact us by email and we will arrange for someone to reply in English.
